Palin 2012!

Who signed off on this?

This is disturbing even to a hard ass cynic like me:

The boy had asked that the certificate read: “This flag was flown in honor of Marcel Larochelle, my grandfather, for his dedication and love of God, country and family.”

But the Architect excised “God” from the inscription, saying it violated a policy, set in 2003, banning religious and political expressions on the certificates.

We know who was zealously enforcing the “no God” policy for the US Capital’s flag raising operation, which is estimated to raise and lower roughly 275 flags a day fulfilling over 100,000 requests per year. (That’s about 11 or 12 flag raisings an hour working around the clock, if you were wondering.) But what I really want to know in a morbid curiosity kind of way is who proposed the No God policy, who bought the No God policy, and who signed off on the No God Policy. That’s what I want to know. Is Malkin on this? No?

So here is what really has me disturbed about the situation: It would seem that over half a million flags have been raised and dedicated over the years since 2003 with no references to God… and no one has said anything until now? Has no one else tried to have the word “God” put in a dedication of a flag that has flown over the headquarters of this historic Republic of the United States? Or has everyone just kinda hung their head and meekly said, “Oh, okay. Well if it’s a policy and all.”

Obviously this “boy” handled himself quite well and has succeeded in pointing out and correcting an outrage that even the Muslims could feel good about. Had it been me I’m sure it would have been a much different story in the news. Disturbance at the Capitol. Another taser story, probably. I’m about 99% certain I would have told Capital Architect Stephen Ayers if he can’t put God on the certificate of dedication then he can wipe his ass with his flag. That’s just how I roll.

Marcel Larochelle can certainly be proud of his grandson.

A cursory glance at Michele Malkin’s site didn’t reveal anything about the flag certificate story but she is all over the crazy, crazy happenings at Columbia, which is great because I was really wanting to call bullshit on the whole deal when I first noticed the story but I couldn’t figure out how to say in a non-accusing way that the school’s “African American” professor is probably who put the noose on the door.

Then later on the school is like, no we will not hand over the security tapes. Geez Louise, why do I always have to be right? I can’t believe the school hasn’t announced that they are withholding the tapes so they will not violate the first amendment rights of the perp.

If Columbia University can tolerate a Holocaust denier who is an evil tyrant who I’m sure has the blood of thousands of innocent men women and children on his hands, they should not sweat a few nooses hanging around campus. For surely if Ahmidenijad has his way the noose would have been found around the victim’s neck. Maybe an arm hacked off for good measure.

Excuse me, do you have the time?
