When I resolutely declined the FireDog service on the Acer PC I bought the other day, my kid tried to stifle the pitch coming from the still rambling salesboy by telling him I was very “computer handy.” I think this guy has me beat though; he is the Geek Dad. Geek Dad has a link to a very incredible device that I gotta have: an Etch-A-Sketch clock hack. Probably not available in stores, yet.

This time from New York:
State [Democrat] Assemblyman Adam Clayton Powell IV, son of the legendary Harlem congressman, is in trouble with the law again after being busted on a DWI charge - with a mystery woman passed out drunk in the back seat. (Link)
They do seem to like their bimbos as well.

Centerton Mayor Ken Williams is one wild and crazy guy.
The mayor of an Arkansas town resigned on Wednesday, claiming he was abducted and brainwashed by Satan worshippers nearly three decades ago.
So he ran away, changed his name and forgot all about the whole ordeal until… until he took some truth serum and underwent elctro shock to regain his memory of Don LaRose, his alter ego. Is he relly Don LaRose, or Mayor Ken Williams? Who knows but he did sign his resignation with two names.

According to the BBC anyway:
The fact that the school is at the heart of the settler movement in the occupied West Bank may have been the reason why it was targeted, BBC Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen reports.
Many of its students are on special courses that combine religious study with service in combat units in the Israeli army, he notes.
I guess when someone opens fire on an auditorium full of students here in the U.S. it might be justified if some of those students were members of ROTC or the reserve forces. Of course the UN security council allowed Libya to hold up a condemnation of the attack. Why Libya is on the “security” council is anyone’s guess.
Here, there, and everywhere, diplomacy has failed, people.

Prince Charles on global warming skeptics:
Sheer madness.
That’s how Prince Charles described skeptics who view calls for rapid action to counter climate change as overstated or completely invented.
But what does Prince Harry think?
